NOAA IN THE CAROLINAS TO EXHIBIT AT 2005 NORTH CAROLINA SEAFOOD FESTIVAL

Seafood Festival in Downtown Morehead CityAug 18, 2005- Staff members from various National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) office throughout North and South Carolina will staff a NOAA in the Carolinas booth at the 2005 North Carolina Seafood Festival. The booth will be set up in the Coastal Yesterday and Today Education Tent which will be set up in the parking lot at the south end of 9th Street in along the Morehead City waterfront. The theme for the education tent will be Life at the Edge of the Sea. The NOAA booth will feature interactive children's learning activities, teacher resources and much more! Some of the offices that will be represented include NOAA's Undersea Research Center at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, North Carolina Sea Grant, NOAA's National Ocean Service, NOAA's Marine Fisheries Service, and NOAA's National Weather Service. The booth will be staffed from 10 am until 6 pm on Saturday October 1st and from 10 am until 5 pm on Sunday October 2nd.
