NOAA IN THE CAROLINAS TO EXHIBIT AT 2006 NORTH CAROLINA SEAFOOD FESTIVAL

The North Carolina Seafood Festival will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2006. For the second year, NOAA agencies from around the area and the state will come together to offer an entertaining and informational booth.

The booth will be set up in the Coastal Yesterday and Today Education Tent which will be set up in the parking lot at the south end of 9th Street in along the Morehead City waterfront. The theme for the education tent will be Life at the Edge of the Sea. The NOAA booth will feature interactive children's learning activities, teacher resources and much more!

Some of the offices that will be represented include NOAA's Undersea Research Center at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, North Carolina Sea Grant, NOAA's National Ocean Service, NOAA's Marine Fisheries Service, The North Carolina Estuarine Research Reserves, and NOAA's National Weather Service.

The booth will be staffed from 10 am until 6 pm on Saturday October 6th and from 10 am until 5 pm on Sunday October 7th.
